Terms and Conditions on Invoices will override those listed below if there is a discrepancy.
Cancellation Policy for Tours and Guided Hikes
Culinary tours can be cancelled up to 1 week prior with a full refund less any processing fees (5% max). 50% of the total will be refunded if cancelled between 1 week and 2 days prior. No refunds if cancelled afterwards.
Walking tours and guided hikes can be cancelled up to 2 days prior with full refund less processing fees (5% max). No refunds if cancelled afterwards.
In the event that Blaq Bear Eco Adventure Routes has to cancel a trip, we will refund 100 per cent of monies paid to that date.
All participants will be required to fill out our waiver.

Registration and Payment for Trip Packages
In order to reserve your accommodations for your trip, we require a 25 per cent deposit upon reservation. Final payment for the trip is due 10 days in advance of the start date.
We accept all major credit cards by secure online form, email transfer, or a cheque by mail.
After booking your reservation, we will provide you with an information package, including a recommended list of clothing and accessories.
A liability waiver and Covid19 questionnaire must be signed before you begin your trip – we prefer to have these filled out prior to your arrival for everyone safety. Links are provided so that you can review it prior to reserving. All members of the party over the age of 17 and the parent or legal guardian of any member under the age of 18 years must complete the waiver.

Our trips tend to have small group sizes so any cancellation is significant.
Cancellation Policy for multiday trip packages
Our cancellation policy for packages is as follows: For cancellations made more than 10 days before the trip start date, we will provide a full refund the deposit less $100 for administration and any out of pocket expenses incurred. These will be listed on your invoice. Cancellations made between 10 days prior and the trip start date will receive a 50 per cent refund. Any cancellations made after the trip start date will be refunded 50 per cent of unused portion of the trip.
Travel and Medical Insurance
Travel insurance is required. Trip cancellation insurance is recommended.
We recommend that you have adequate insurance to cover any injury or damage or evacuation that you may cause or suffer.
You may be responsible to fully bear the costs incurred including evacuation. If you are travelling from outside of Ontario, out-of-province insurance is recommended.
